The Journal of Bamboo and Rattan is an international peer-reviewed scientific journal published biannually by the Kerala Forest Research Institute, Peechi, Thrissur, Kerala State, India. The Journal was previously published by VSP/E.J.Brill, The Netherlands and from Volume 5 (2006) has been published by KFRI. As of January 2014, the Journal is an online free and open access electronic publication.

The Journal accepts full length research articles, reviews, and short communications in English in the prescribed format. Authors have to agree to permit publication of accepted papers under a user license equivalent to the Creative Commons Attribution NonCommercial ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0).
